There's a new iPhone app from the USDA that can help homeowners identify and report possible citrus pests and diseases.
The free app, called "Save Our Citrus," is available for download in the iTunes App Store.
Homeowners can use the app to upload pictures of their own citrus trees and compare them to pictures of infected trees. The app also allows people to report suspicious insects and tree symptoms directly to the California Department of Food and Agriculture.
The USDA says it's in the process of building an app for Android phones.
