      Central Valley Cooling Centers

Cooling centers open around the Central Valley any time temperatures create a health hazard.Remember to drink plenty of fluids during hotter temperatures. Drink more non-alcoholic fluids than normal and don't wait until your thirsty. Wear light-weight clothing and limit your time outside to early morning and late evening. If you don't have air-conditioning, go to a shopping mall, library or someplace that does.Make sure you know who in your area has young children, elderly or those who may be physically ill, as they are at a higher risk for heat exhaustion or heat stroke so you can check in on them.Below is a list of cooling centers. This list is subject to change.
