Caught On Camera: Do You Know Man Who Broke Into Car Dealership?
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — Right now the hunt is on to find a crook who broke into a Fresno car dealership. However, his days may be numbered after he was caught on camera. Wednesday morning, the owners of Best Buy Motorz near the corner of Blackstone and Spruce say the crook was breaking into cars. Owner Alex Villalobos says the guy is one of many who have hit his lot. Villalobos says, "In the past 2 to 3 months, we've been having broken windows, stolen radios, small things like that. These crooks have ripped off items that are expensive when you add them up." Villalobos decided to fight back with high tech tools. Less than 3 weeks ago, he installed security cameras and an alarm system and they are already paying off. Villalobos says after the crook made his way around the corner, he then tried to break into several doors on the outside of the building. When he couldn't break-in to the garage, Villalobos says that's when he broke into the main door to the office." Villalobos says, "Once he got inside he was then able to look all around the office, but little did he know there was a camera right above him." Villalobos says he and his investment partner looked around the office, but they are thankful the crook left with nothing. However, Fresno Police is now investigating the crime. If you know who he is you're urged to notify the Fresno Police Department or you can call Crimestoppers at (559) 498-STOP. You do not have to give your name and you could earn up to $1,000 in cash.
