A Southeast Fresno home is on the brink of collapsing right now after a driver lost control of his car, and crashed into the home.
"I was kind of terrifiedyou know? Because all of a sudden there is this car on my front porch, and I didn't know what to do," said Daniel Loosier.
Loosier says he was on the couch when he first heard the sound of screeching tires.
Before he knew it, the car came barreling into his home.
"It was a couple of booms ... one louder than the other one," said Loosier.
Loosier says he smelled a lot of smoke, and yelled for his family to get out of the house.
"I have a wife in a wheelchair, and I didn't want the house catching on fire, especially with her in the wheelchair, in the house," said Loosier.
Loosier caught a quick glimpse of the driver before he ran off.
He says police believe the man first hit a pole on 1st Street and Hazelwood Boulevard before hitting his house.
"I heard that he was drunk, so I imagine he was afraid of getting caught, so that's why he ran," said Loosier.
Loosier is happy everyone made it out safety.
His main concern right now is his home, which he says means more than just a roof over their heads.
The front of the home now hangs on by a string.
"I imagine I could be put in emergency housing, but with my wife in a wheelchair, and our grandchildren here ... it would be a huge inconvenience to the family," said Loosier.
It is unknown if alcohol had anything to do with the crash.
Fresno police have not released a report about the crash.
The Loosier family says they are going to remain in the home until management can get it repaired.
