Armed Police Stationed At Schools In New Jersey Town
Parents in one New Jersey town will find something new outside their kids' schools today: armed police officers.
They will now be stationed at all campuses in Marlboro Township.
The change comes just weeks after a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.
The idea of an armed guard is similar to one proposed by the National Rifle Association, but the mayor says he came up with the idea before the NRA suggested it.
