Animal Cruelty: Oakhurst Woman Convicted For Hitting Puppy
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) —
An Oakhurst woman who caused a severe injury to a puppy was convicted last week of felony cruelty to animal charges, the Madera County District Attorney's Office announced.
Jannice Aguilar, 39, was seen holding a small puppy to the ground and then punching it repeatedly until its eye was dislocated from its socket, the DA's office said.
The Superior Court has set Aguilar's sentencing in the Sierra Division for April 9.
